2nd Grade Como Zoo Trip

Yesterday was the Elton Hills second grade field trip to the Como Zoo in St. Paul. I volunteered to chaperon, which was quite the experience! And it just happened to be the day every school in the state choose to attend the zoo! Crazy!

Grandma Ora

Grandma Ora passed away on May 18 and her funeral was this past weekend. While it was sad to see her go it was fun to see the entire family. Special thanks to Keith and Jeannie for having everyone over to their place!

Rocket Shoot

The rocket shoot was a success! It was a bit windy and cold, and both boys lost their rockets, but either way everyone had fun. Henrik swears that his rocket went the highest and Ethan is sure his rocket is in the "atmosphere" (he means outer space!). We were joined by Uncle Bob and Auntie Ruth as well as Haily and Ashely!

Transportation Fair

Today we went to the Rochester Transportation Fair. We got to see all sorts of transportation equipment. Highlights were the Firetruck, race car, city bus (believe it or not), and the Rochester Emergency Response RV (sweet! tv's and computer galore!). We ran into a lot of folks that we know! Chuck

This ended up being a cool shot. Ethan is in the bus drivers seat. You can see me, Henrik and Sophie in the reflection.

Rocket Shoot

Next Tuesday is Henrik and Ethan's rocket shoot for Cub Scouts. We've built up the main body and have painted them gold. The only thing remaining is to add a few finishing touches on the painting and perhaps apply some decals.

Swingin'

Thursday was the annual SACC picnic for Henrik and Ethan's before and after school program. It was at Cook Park, and although I didn't get any pictures of they boys, Sophie was being especially photogenic on the swing!
