Minnehaha Falls

Sunday before Happy's 9th birthday we stopped by Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. For mid October the weather was beautiful! What a great place to stop! For 2 years I lived 2 miles from there and this was my first visit. Oh well......

Happy Grandparents Day!

Happy Grandparents Day! I hope everyone is having a great day. The picture to the left was made by Sophie in daycare for Grandparents day.

The kids have spent the day shopping for pop (had to be grape or orange crush Dad.....) to make icees with the manual icee maker. After more than a few spills we had some success and there were icees all around! Relaxing this afternoon and planning on swimming this evening again.......

Best wishes to all,
Henrik, Ethan, Sophie and Chuck

More Geocaching!

Yesterday was spent playing at the park, swimming and geocaching. We hit two geocaches, the first was right by the new Think Bank by Walmart north and the second was by Northern Hills golf course, right off the Douglas Trail. Henrik found the first and Sophie and Ethan found the second. The second geocache was pretty interesting, it was a fake bird wired to a branch! Looked pretty real until we figured it was the cache.......
Hi to everyone. Chuck

Last Friday we got to go to the Twins game with Nana, Papa, and Phillip. The boys got to have slushies and cotton candy. The Twins won 4-1. Lots of fun.

2nd Grade Como Zoo Trip

Yesterday was the Elton Hills second grade field trip to the Como Zoo in St. Paul. I volunteered to chaperon, which was quite the experience! And it just happened to be the day every school in the state choose to attend the zoo! Crazy!

The Definition of Cool

Sophie Cool! Anytime I'm wearing or Sophie is wearing sunglasses she make sure that she mentions how cool (in Sophie speak 'tool') we are! She still working on the 'c' sound......

Jess, Gammie and I stopped in Pelican Rapids this past weekend to see the pelican. Did I mention how cool we were standing next to the pelican in sunglasses?

Cool?

Grandma Ora

Grandma Ora passed away on May 18 and her funeral was this past weekend. While it was sad to see her go it was fun to see the entire family. Special thanks to Keith and Jeannie for having everyone over to their place!

Rocket Shoot

The rocket shoot was a success! It was a bit windy and cold, and both boys lost their rockets, but either way everyone had fun. Henrik swears that his rocket went the highest and Ethan is sure his rocket is in the "atmosphere" (he means outer space!). We were joined by Uncle Bob and Auntie Ruth as well as Haily and Ashely!
