Ethan is quite the artist. He came home from school one day with this picture and was pretty proud of it. I still haven't figured out the significance of my large hand.....

Hailey Visits!!

Jared, Ashely and Hailey stopped by this evening and we shared pizza for dinner. Thanks Jared! The kids all had a lot of fun. Sophie definitely acts the big sister role with little Haily, who btw is just starting to walk. Sophie introduced Haily to Winnie, who thought Hailey was a pretty great, considering all the crackers she dropped...

The downstairs was thoroughly trashed by the boys, so after everyone left they spent the remainder of their evening picking up toys and cushions.

Santa!

We hit the mall yesterday (yeah!) and the kids got to spend some time with Santa! Sophie covered many things with old Kris Kringle: Barbie, color changings something or other, princess outfits. The boys pretty much just want video games, with the Wii being the main request. Hopefully Santa has some good elves that can find a Wii in the USA for us. :-o

Minnesota Blood

This girl does not get cold! Sophie is a true Minnesota native. It's about 15 degrees out and she would have spent the entire afternoon out doors if I didn't shoo her back in.

We've had no less than 4 snow storms this season. It's been snowing every couple of days! At this rate a new snow blower will be needed before the end of the season.

At least the kids love it.

Triple Dog Dare

This is funny....... The boys got out of the van first yesterday after coming home from school. By the time I got Sophie out and came around the corner, Henrik had stuck the end of his tounge to the metal fence post and ripped it off. The look of horror on his face was priceless! I couldn't do anything but laugh. A little blood, a few tears and he was fine. Haven't heard anything from him since on the issue, but I figured he has learned his lesson. Doesn't everyone have to do it just once.

Ethan Lost His First Tooth!

Ethan lost his first tooth today! He's been waiting for weeks for his first loose one to fall out. Now he is just like his big brother Henrik. He has another loose one too, so we are all looking forward to that one falling out soon. Hopefully the Tooth Fairy will be kind tonight!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving with Nana, Papa and Phillip. Nana put together a great dinner of turkey, smoked ham, green beans, and there was of course Strohm Dip. I made cream cheese bars for dessert at April's request, and they were awesome (if I don't say so myself!).

We stayed at the Country Inn and did a couple of marathon swim sessions. Phillip came over before dinner and enjoyed some time in the hot tub.

On Friday, Papa took Henrik, Ethan, and me to the Wild game. The Wild got their buts kicked 4-0. Nana took Sophie during the game to the book store and over to some friends. They sure had fun!

Thanksgiving Day - Blog Start

It's Thanksgiving day 2007 and I figured I'd create a new website to highlight the goings on of the Gilbertson Family (Henrik, Ethan, Sophie, April and Chuck). We're are going up to Uncle Phillips today to celibrate the big day with the Strohm's. We are going to be staying at a hotel and will be spending a lot of time swimming.

Best wishes to everyone on Thanksgiving. I hope everyone eats to excess and doesn't regret it! It only happens once a year.
